  1. To Mr. Carswell (and his esteemed co-host),

I wrote in to tell you a funny story concerning the book “Tolkien’s Requiem”. My parents obtained a copy from an unnamed source 😉 and were going to save it as a surprise for the coming holiday. My dad forgot that detail and told me, so I received it a whole month earlier. I just wanted to say thank you for that gift: it is a phenomenal book and a breathtaking insight into the First Age of Middle-Earth. Better yet, it strengthens my love for the wonderful story that is Beren and Luthien. Excellent job and keep up the good work!

    Sincerely, Mary Grace
